Ruschia ‘Nana’ aka Dwarf Carpet of Stars is a low-growing evergreen succulent groundcover that spreads to form a lush, carpet-like landscape. Unlike traditional turf, it requires very little water once established and no mowing making it a beautiful, water-wise lawn alternative for California homes and gardens.

I love my star carpet lawn! It has grown so much from the plugs we first install in under a year. I live in central Phoenix, Arizona where the summer can get up to 120. I bought one pallet to see if it would survive the grueling summer and IT DID, it THRIVED! so the I bought a couple more and let me tell you! I LOVE IT! It’s so whimsical, and I love the little purple star like flowers. Safe for dogs and cats and I don’t have to mow it! Great for pollinators and my water bill doesn’t break the bank! Amazing customer service as well!

I researched the best product I could use in my dog pen. My dogs are small. I ordered four trays of Ruschia Nana. The plants arrived in excellent condition, and the directions provided were excellent. I planted them two weeks ago, and they are doing well. I will be ordering more in a few months.
Lots of research lead me to ordering these plants from this company. I took some time last winter and followed their instructions to amend our clay soil with mushroom compost and gypsum. I finally got them all planted within 2 weeks spaced 8 inch apart. They arrived quickly once ordered and were thoughtfully packed. So far I've been watering them twice a day and they are still chunky and green with a flower here and there. I look forward to watching them grow this spring/summer.
